Scott Spackman has been a respected trainer in the South Western region of New South Wales for many years. Scott grew up in a little town called Harden in rural NSW and developed a love for horses after his father got involved in the thoroughbred industry. He got hooked pretty quickly as a teenager and rapidly expanded his skill set with his passion and great work ethic leading to him be very sort after. Scott used his slight frame and talent in the saddle to ride track work and when the time came he worked as a foreman and started riding in races as a jockey. His stable is based in Wagga Wagga and the boutique style  of his operation means that there is a lot of one on one attention for his horses. Scott has a thorough knowledge of everything equine and as a self confessed perfectionist his horses are always a standout on race day. His highlight to date was riding home Money Road in the Harden Cup. If you ever stay at Scott’s house you will see a grainy replay of him winning that day and it is a goal of his to return as a trainer and win the Harden Cup again.
